Vibration-Isolating Foam for PCB

KA , 03-24-2025, 06:07 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm searching for a soft, resilient foam to isolate a PCB with a sensitive IMU from high-frequency motor vibrations. I came across a specific foam (photo attached) used in a PCB in a drone and am looking for something similar. The thickness of the foam in the photo is between 5-6mm. The material is very soft, doesn’t permanently deform, and quickly returns to its original shape after compression. Has anyone worked with similar materials and can help identify what this might be?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like anti-static packaging material.

just a note, if you would like to use the anti-static foam, be careful as it can influence the circuit. Once I forgot about it and wasted some time trying to figure out why my circuit behaves randomly - then I found out I had it plugged in in anti-static foam 😄 Removed it and everything was working perfectly fine.
