Hello, What are the basics rules to take into consideration when working on 1 Gbps Ethernet PCB layout? How many layers do you recommend using, and is it better to follow a stripline or a microstrip topologie? What about the impedance constraints? (For your information, I'm working ona carrier custom board that integrates a Raspberry CM4 ) .
